Sesame Lane Kindergartens in North Brisbane

Kindergarten is a place where your child will make friends, explore new environments, build confidence and have fun learning. Sesame Lane Kindergarten offers meaningful experiences and interactions that support your child’s early learning, wellbeing and development, now and into the future.  Kindergarten is the ideal way for children to prepare for their transition to schooling. The Queensland Government approved Kindergarten Program is offered across all of the Sesame Lane day care centres in north Brisbane. The program is run by a Bachelor qualified teacher and comprehensively meets the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia (ELYF) guidelines and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG). The program embraces the inclusive vision that “all children experience learning that is engaging and builds success for life.” This works hand in hand with our tailored approach of play based learning that caters to the talents and interests of each child.

Owlbert's plant to plate gardening program explores seasonal herbs and vegetables that the children will plant, harvest and cook.

Healthy, Happy, Learners

Research shows access to quality early learning benefits children throughout their school years. Evidence also supports a play-based learning approach in early years education. Play supports children’s intellectual, social, emotional and physical growth..

Guided by our bachelor-qualified Teachers, your child will learn to think independently, problem-solve and work cooperatively — all great skills for school and life! Most importantly, we have a strong focus on self-help skills so our Kindergarten Graduates start school with the self confidence they need to learn and grow.

What’s Best for Your Child’s Development?

At Sesame Lane, our people make the difference. Our Educators and Teachers take a holistic approach to child development and learning recognising the connectedness of mind, body and spirit. When early learning and Educators take a holistic approach, they pay attention to children’s physical, personal, social, emotional and spiritual wellbeing, as well as the cognitive aspects of learning.

Minimum attendance for two days per week is recommended to support each child’s successful involvement in the educational programs and support their social development through friendships. It is important for families to note that approved kindergarten programs are available for children the year prior to beginning Prep. So, children should be aged 4 by 30 June in the year they start kindy.
