Supporting Children, Families & Educators with Green Heart

At Sesame Lane, children’s health, wellbeing, and development sit at the heart of everything we do. To further support our families and educators, we partner with Green Heart Consulting, an experienced provider of child, family, and workplace wellbeing services.

This partnership allows us to offer proactive, accessible health support within our centres, supporting children to thrive, families to feel informed and confident, and educators to work safely and well.

What this means for Sesame Lane Families

Regular health and wellbeing visits
Green Heart visits our centres throughout the year, spending time in each room across all age groups. These visits support children’s development, provide guidance to educators, and help identify any areas where additional support may be helpful.

4-Year-Old Health Checks
Children aged four are offered comprehensive developmental health checks, supporting early identification of any health or wellbeing needs before the transition to school. Early support can make a meaningful difference, and families are kept informed every step of the way.

Baby Health Drop-In Clinics (selected centres)
Families with babies are invited to attend relaxed, monthly drop-in clinics where they can ask questions, receive guidance, and access health monitoring in a welcoming, supportive environment.

Parent Information Sessions
Throughout the year, Green Heart hosts parent information evenings at our centres. These sessions focus on topics relevant to child development, health, and wellbeing, offering families practical insights, reassurance, and opportunities for open conversation.

Supporting our educators (which supports your child)

A child’s wellbeing is closely linked to the wellbeing of the adults who care for them. During centre visits, Green Heart also supports our educators by:

– Observing safe nappy change, lifting, and manual handling practices

– Providing guidance to reduce physical strain and support long-term health

_ Offering informal wellbeing check-ins for early support and advice

This focus on staff wellbeing helps create calm, safe, and nurturing environments for children every day.

Why Expert Consultancy Matters

Children’s development is supported through early identification, proactive care, and a strong focus on wellbeing. Through this approach, families can access trusted, professional health guidance within their child’s familiar learning environment, helping to create clarity, confidence, and peace of mind. Our educators are supported to work safely, confidently, and sustainably, ensuring they can focus on what matters most; nurturing and guiding each child’s learning and development.

Strong partnerships between families, educators, and health professionals are at the heart of this approach. Together, we create safe, supportive, and responsive environments where children feel secure, families feel genuinely supported, and educators feel valued. This partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to wellbeing, because when care is thoughtfully woven into everyday practice, children and the community around them are able to learn, grow, and truly flourish.
