Leading our Narangba community is Service Manager Mardi Johnston, whose decades of experience and calm, caring leadership helps set the tone for everything we do. Alongside our dedicated and experienced Educators, Mardi ensures every child is supported in a nurturing, engaging environment where they can build confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of belonging.
We believe childcare is about more than routines and schedules; it’s about partnership. We work closely with families to support each child’s unique journey, creating rich learning spaces that spark imagination and encourage social connection, independence, and wellbeing.

Mardi Johnston
Service Manager
Mardi is the Service Manager at Sesame Lane Narangba Cotton Tree Drive and brings a strong community-focused vision to her leadership. She is passionate about creating an early learning environment that feels warm, welcoming, and homely, while embracing the natural world as an extension of children’s learning. Mardi believes children should be respected as individuals and recognised as capable members of society, with their rights valued and advocated for.
With a Diploma in Children’s Services and 30 years of experience in early childhood education, Mardi has been part of the Sesame Lane family for 21 years, with over 11 of those years in a Service Management leadership position. Her career journey has included roles as an Educator, Lead Educator, Assistant Director, and for the past six years, Service Manager, providing her with a deep understanding of quality practice and leadership across all levels of service delivery.
Mardi finds great fulfilment in working closely with families, recognising that strong partnerships lead to the best outcomes for children. She believes there is nothing more precious than children and nothing more rewarding than supporting them as they grow, develop, and prepare for their transition to school. Building meaningful, trusting relationships with families is a deeply valued and rewarding part of her role.

Isabel Castro Nursery Lead Educator
Isabel brings five years of experience in early childhood education and holds a Diploma qualification. She is deeply passionate about supporting children as they grow, learn, and discover the world around them, and finds great meaning in being part of their earliest learning experiences.
Isabel values creating calm, nurturing environments where children feel safe, secure, and supported to explore at their own pace. She takes pride in building strong, trusting relationships with children and their families, recognising that these connections play a vital role in helping children develop confidence, curiosity, and a sense of belonging.
Candice Martin Toddlers Lead Educator
Candice brings 25 years of experience in early childhood education and holds an Advanced Diploma qualification. She finds great joy in supporting children as they grow and accomplish their many milestones, celebrating each achievement along the way.
Candice is deeply committed to creating nurturing, responsive environments where children feel safe, confident, and supported to explore and learn. She values the strong relationships she builds with children and families, recognising that these connections play an essential role in helping children thrive during their early years.
Tiesh Toonen Junior Kindy Lead Educator
Tiesh brings four years of experience in early childhood education and holds a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, while currently studying towards her Diploma. She is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children and their families through nurturing care and meaningful relationships.
Tiesh values the importance of building strong, trusting connections that support children to develop their skills, knowledge, and confidence. She is committed to creating a supportive learning environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to grow.
Bianca Post Senior Kindy Lead Educator
Bianca brings 13 years of experience in early childhood education and holds an Advanced Diploma qualification. She is passionate about sparking children’s curiosity and finds great joy in watching their excitement as they discover, explore, and learn.
Bianca is committed to creating engaging and inspiring learning environments where children feel confident to ask questions, try new things, and develop a love of learning. She values building strong, positive relationships with children and their families, recognising the importance of connection in supporting each child’s growth and development.
Kusuma Niyom Senior Kindy Lead Educator
Kusuma brings seven years of experience in early childhood education and holds a Diploma qualification. She is deeply passionate about her work and finds great joy in creating safe, caring, and fun environments where children feel supported as they learn and grow.
Charlotte Martin Kindergarten Early Childhood Teacher
Charlotte brings four years of experience in early childhood education and holds a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood. She is passionate about equipping children with the knowledge and skills they need to engage confidently with the world around them.
Charlotte values creating meaningful learning experiences that support children’s curiosity, independence, and problem-solving abilities. She is committed to fostering environments where children feel empowered to explore, think critically, and develop a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
Kamni Naicker Kindergarten Early Childhood Teacher
Kamni brings 11 years of experience in early childhood education and holds a Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood. She finds great joy in supporting children over time and celebrating their achievements as they learn, grow, and develop.
