Kindergarten helps children develop academically.
In addition to social and emotional skills, kindergarten also helps children develop academically. Beginning academics are introduced in Kindergarten, including early reading, writing, and math skills. However, these skills aren’t always taught with a pencil & paper, the foundations are taught via play based learning. Your child will learn how to identify letters of the alphabet and begin sounding out words. They’ll also start to understand what numbers are and simple math concepts. All of these skills will set your child up for success in Prep and beyond.
Kindergarten provides a foundation for a love of learning.
Perhaps the most important benefit of Kindergarten is that it provides a foundation for a love of learning. Kindergarten is a place where children learn to explore new things, ask questions, and be curious about the world around them. When children have positive experiences in Kindergarten, they’re more likely to approach learning with enthusiasm throughout their school years.
