Nutrition and environmental awareness go hand-in-hand at Sesame Lane with Owlbert’s Garden Program. The program gives children the skills to prepare a garden bed, raise a seed into a seedling, plant seedlings into garden beds, water, prune, harvest, prepare and then enjoy what they have grown for lunch! The program also teaches children about composting garden waste and feeding food scraps to the worms in our worm farms. All meals and snacks are provided and, we involve the children in making the meals using the produce we’ve grown together in our own on-site gardens.
