Megan Le Brocq

Service Manager & Nominated Supervisor

Meet Megan – a passionate advocate for supporting children in their early years. With a remarkable track record that goes beyond her years of experience, Megan is determined to make a difference in the lives of educators and the children they serve.

Starting her journey in the ECE profession as an Educator in 2016, Megan quickly discovered her natural ability to connect with children. Her exceptional skills were recognized by her superiors, leading her to be hand-selected for a prestigious study tour in Italy, focused on the Reggio Emilia Approach. This approach prioritizes children as capable and confident learners, valuing their rights. Upon her return, the Educators Megan mentored experienced tremendous growth under her guidance.

Inspired by her impact on educators, Megan realized that reaching more professionals meant helping even more children. She took on the role of leading a team through the critical Assessment and Ratings process, where her team surpassed all expectations in the seven Quality Areas of the National Quality Framework.

Since joining the Sesame Lane Dakabin team in 2019, Megan has continued to share her unwavering passion for Early Childhood Education with her colleagues and families. With two young girls of her own, Megan’s strong family values and understanding of the joys and challenges of raising a family shine through in her role.

Our Dakabin Kids Early Learning Centre

Sesame Lane Dakabin opened its doors in 2018 with well-equipped, modern, purpose built indoor and outdoor day care learning environments. Inside is designed to feel warm, comfortable, bright, welcoming and inviting, while outside you’ll find large playgrounds that provide not only privacy and shelter but lots of fun and adventures for our little ones.

“We recently moved our daughter over to this centre at the beginning of this year due to a change in work commitments. I was a little bit hesitant about moving her as I didn’t know how this would impact her socially and emotionally. It was a rough start as my daughter experienced a whole new separation anxiety due to her having some awareness of what was going on. However the staff at Dakabin made this whole experience easier and within weeks she was running to the educators. Lee McDermott Early Childhood Teacher

Qualification: Bachelor of Teaching (Birth to Five Years)

For the past 35 years, Lee has shared her passion for working with children, holding her Certificate III and Diploma.8 years ago, Lee completed her Bachelor of Teaching to learn more about children’s development to support her childcare career. Lee enjoys working with the Kindergarten children and watching them develop new skills and reach their milestones as they challenge themselves daily.

Lee believes in providing a Kindergarten program that not only sets children up for school but also for life by supporting them to learn important skills such as confidence, communication, and resilience.

Emma Prince Educational Leader

Qualification: Diploma in Early Education

My vision as Educational Leader is to support and provide guidance for our childcare educators to create meaningful play-based educational programs and experiences for all children. To build respectful and trusting relationships with educators and to work collaboratively enabling our ability to affect positive change as a team, and to have trusting and familiar relationships with our families, built through secure attachments with the children of our service.
